Samsung Announces Galaxy A Launch Event

Samsung is set to unveil its latest mid-range smartphones the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26at the upcoming Galaxy A launch event on March 2, 2025. This announcement follows a series of leaks that have provided detailed insights into the specifications and features of these devices.

Design and Display

All three models are expected to feature a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The Galaxy A56 and A36 will come equipped with in-display fingerprint sensors, while the A26 will have its fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. Leaked renders suggest that the A56 will be available in four colours: silver, pink, black, and pale green. The design includes flat edges, a prominent display bezel, and a redesigned camera island housing three lenses.

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the Galaxy A56 is expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1580 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. The A36 will utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, offering options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The A26 will feature the Exynos 1380 chipset with similar RAM configurations. Photography enthusiasts will find a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) across all three devices. The A56 enhances versatility with a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro sensor. In contrast, the A36 features an 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro lens, while the A26 is equipped with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the A56 and A36 offer a 12MP front-facing camera, whereas the A26 provides a 13MP shooter.

Software and Updates
