Samsung Galaxy A12 Leaked Rumoured Specs & Features

Samsung recently gave a sneak peek into its array of new budget-friendly phones for the upcoming year (2021). The mobile company made an announcement to that regard a few days ago, when unveiling its new entry-level phones set to launch next year, specifically in Europe. The two new entry-level phones are the Samsung Galaxy A12 and Samsung Galaxy A02S.

Samsung has been churning out a lot of mid-range phones in recent times presumably because of the level of competition from other smartphone brands, particularly the mid-range devices. The mobile market has been saturated lately with a lot of different brands of budget-friendly phones; which has obviously created heavy competition amongst brands. Apparently, the competition has driven most of the smartphone brands into churning out more mid-range phones with competitive features, including Samsung.

We will focus more on the Samsung Galaxy A12 in this article. Galaxy A12 is a successor to GalaxyA11 which was officially released in March 2020. The device didn’t gain much popularity upon its release being an entry-level device. Samsung Galaxy A11 was packed with 2GB and 3GB RAM options, and internal storage of 32GB. It was powered by octa-core 1.8GHz processor. The smartphone has a 4000mAh battery and a triple rear camera to mention a few. Galaxy A12 being a follow-up of Samsung Galaxy A11 is expected to come with a lot of upgraded specs/features.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 will feature a significant 5000mAh battery. This feature will definitely make the device highly competitive, especially being an inexpensive phone. Aside from having a 5000mAh battery capacity, it also supports fast charging capacity of 15watts.

The Galaxy A12 displays a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT, a screen resolution of 720×1560 pixels and a pixel density of 264PPI.

Dimension

The smart phone’s dimension is 164×75.8x89mm and weighs 205 grams. The device is seen in a uni -body design meaning it doesn’t have a differentiating metal frame, rather the phone is encased in a single polycarbonate moulded piece.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 has four colour options; Black, blue, red and white. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio port at the bottom.

Camera

There is also an upgrade in the camera setup. Unlike Galaxy A11 that has triple camera setup, Galaxy A12 is packed with a quad-camera which consist of 48megapixel primary shooter, a 5megapixel ultra wide angle lens, a 2 mega pixel macro lens and a 2megapixel depth sensor. There are noticeable bezels on the screen, and an on-screen notch housed a 8mega pixel selfie shooter.

Processor & Memory

The Samsung Galaxy A12 might likely feature an octa -core processor. Though it isn’t certain yet which processor will be packed in the device. However, there are insinuations making the rounds that the processor could be the Mediatek- powered Helio P35 chipset. The phone will be available in three configured variants which are; 3Gb RAM +32GB storage,4GB RAM 64GB storage, and 6GB +128GB storage.

The phone is expected to be released by either January or February 2021. The 128GB model will be going for 199 EUR while the 64GB model will reportedly be on sales in EUROPE for 179 EUR.

Conclusion

Samsung Galaxy A12 appears to be a very good upgraded version of Galaxy A11. The device is packed with a lot of competitive and enjoyable features which users will be very pleased with.
