Reported Specifications of the Upcoming Samsung Galaxy A03s

Many fans of the Korean company Samsung anticipate the release of the Samsung Galaxy A03s, an upcoming budget smartphone by the brand. It is preceded by the Galaxy A02s, which was released in November 2020. As of publication, there is still no official announcement on the Galaxy A03s’ release date. However, the smartphone’s specs have surfaced online ahead of its launch.

Samsung Galaxy A03s Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy A03s

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy A03s will share many similar features with its predecessor, the Galaxy A02s. It will likely come in a 6.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Reports state that the Galaxy A03s will have dimensions of 166.6 x 75.9 x 9.1 mm. There will be a V-shaped notch in the top portion of the screen to make room for the front-facing camera. The rear-facing camera will have a slight bump, raising the maximum thickness to 9.5 mm.

The bezels are reported to be smaller on three sides, still sporting a relatively prominent chin below the screen display. Its back will be covered by the standard plastic cover, which you can cover with a silicon or hard-shell phone case. The phone reportedly comes in black, white, red, and blue colour options.

A 5000-mAh battery will power the Galaxy A03s, supporting Samsung’s proprietary 15-W fast charging. There will be some notable upgrades in the hardware, such as a change in the phone’s charging port. Instead of the older micro-USB port used by the Galaxy A02s, the upcoming smartphone will be supporting a USB Type-C port. It will also sport a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that’s absent from the 2020 release.

Samsung Galaxy A03s Camera Specifications

The triple camera setup will be similar to the Galaxy A02s, with a 13-megapixel primary camera and two additional 2-megapixel ones. It will also still support autofocus and a LED flash, and the front-facing camera will have a 5-megapixel setup.

Samsung Galaxy A03s Processing Power and Storage

The Samsung Galaxy A03s is expected to run One UI based on Android 11 with an octa-core processor. The Galaxy A02s sported a Snapdragon 450 chipset which supported upwards of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and the upcoming release will reportedly have a more powerful processor.

The Galaxy A03s will likely have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor with up to 4 GB of RAM and the Adreno 610 video adapter. These specifications will mitigate visible lags and will work smoothly even with resource-intensive applications. Games like PUBG and Mobile Legends will run well with this smartphone.

The ROM will likely be up to 64 GB, but the phone will have a microSD card slot to compensate for the lack of storage capacities.

Connectivity Options

The smartphone will support a dual nano-SIM (GSM and GSM) setup. The connectivity options will likely include Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, and 4G with Band 40 support for some LTE networks.
